hey you
Thanks for visiting
My name is Dar-Wei Chen (some people call me D.W., like the little sister in the Arthur cartoons)
I most recently worked as a senior cognitive engineer and task lead at the MITRE Corporation where I performed R&D for the federal government. My areas of expertise are: human factors, learning science, and research methods. Generally speaking, my work revolves around making things and processes easier for people to use effectively by accounting for human tendencies, abilities, limitations, and biases.
I hail from:
Georgia Tech | Ph.D. 2018, human factors and learning science
Michigan | B.S.E 2012, industrial engineering
Winter Park HS | International Baccalaureate 2008
Things I like include:
-
Basketball, for which I'm a volunteer assistant coach at Fayetteville High School
-
My wife Amanda McMullen, who teaches at the University of Arkansas
